TAFE Western Student Scholarships

Seven scholarships, each of $2,000, are available for students who have previously studied at TAFE Western and are enrolling for a course at Certificate III level or above.

Student Scholarships are offered on a semester basis for continuing full time and part time students and are available to assist with fees and related study expenses.

Apply now for scholarships available in Semester 1, 2011. Successful applicants will be notified as soon as practicable

For Semester 2, 2011 applications close on 27 May, 2011 and successful applicants will be advised by 17 June 2011.

To apply for a scholarship at TAFE Western, ensure you check the selection criteria for the relevant scholarship and also the entry requirements for the course.

Download a 2012 TAFE Western Scholarship Application Form (632.3 kB) and complete all sections.  Be sure to explain why you want to study that course and why you feel you would be a worthy recipient of a scholarship. TAFE Western would also want to know about your career ambitions, your motivations and your achievements.

It is important to attach information that will support your application, especially if it demonstrates that you are a well-rounded person who can contribute to the community.

Selection Criteria

  • Applicants should check the selection criteria for the scholarship/s that are of interest.
  • Applicants may apply for more than one scholarship but will be eligible to hold only one scholarship at a time
  • All TAFE Western Scholarships are dependent on the applicant being accepted into a course relevant to the scholarship so it is also important to check the entry requirements for the intended course.
  • Applicants must be commencing as either full-time or part-time students,  in the semester for which the scholarship applies.
  • An applicant must be an Australian citizens or an Australian permanent resident
  • TAFE Western Student Scholarships are for continuing students, ie students who have studied previously with TAFE Western and enrolling in courses at a Certificate 3 or above level.
  • Applicants must demonstrate they are experiencing barriers to learning, either financial, social or geographic.
