2005 TAFE NSW Quality Awards

Achieved an excellence in quality and overall Bronze Award (3rd in State) for their outdoor education TVET program.  There is information in TAFELINK magzine which can be downloaded.

2007 National Outdoor Education Conference

Staff delivered a presentation on research conducted on rural and remote TVET students improvement in their life effectiveness after a 10 day TVET program.

Large Training Provider of the Year

TAFE NSW Western Institute as an organization has also been recognised as a leader in vocational education and training. TAFE NSW Western Institute has been awarded the NSW large training provider of the year in 1999, 2006 and 2007.
