Green Skills  ...we care about our environment

Green Skills TrailerTAFE Western is helping people and industries in central NSW to understand and care for their environment and to build sustainable communities throughout the region.

Special programs are in place to qualify tradespeople to install alternative energy systems, handle new refrigerants and construct solar passive buildings using new and environmentally sustainable materials.

Knowledge about energy-efficient technologies and materials that create less waste is being introduced into TAFE Western training to empower people to make environmentally sound choices.

Knowledge about the Australian climate, soils plants and animals and its ecology is also important, helping people to regenerate degraded landscapes and to help farmers become sustainable food producers for the long-term.

Please visit our list of courses that incorporate green skills. You may also download a brochure here.
