In an initiative sponsored by the NSW Board of Vocational Education and Training (BVET), TAFE NSW Western Institute has signed Memorandums of Understanding with the Central West Community College, Western College, Condobolin Adult Education and Robinson College in Broken Hill.

On July 31st the first meeting of the Wellington Learning Community Working Party was held and later in the day a Memorandum of Understanding between TAFE and Western College was signed.
